Has anyone consolidated hospital auxiliaries within a system? -Or developed a System Volunteer Leadership Board comprised of each hospital's auxiliary?  If you care to share any information, I would appreciate it.

I have not consolidated auxiliaries, but I have turned an auxiliary into a guild...meaning they were not longer an independent 501c3.  Can I offer anything with that experience?

Although we are all under the main system umbrella, the "new" auxiliry maintained their own autonomy. They hold a position on the board and report monthly. They continue to meet monthly and I attend those meetings to be sure everyone is following the same core values and to support the work they do. I try to broaden their perpective and create new recruiting spportunities. They communicate their hours to the central system are eligible for the annual awards etc.

All records are maintained at the main office.

Many years ago when the two hospitals here combined into one Health System, the Auxiliaries also combined.  That happened years before the new hospital was built.  Now there is only one building and one Auxiliary.  I don't remember the details of that joining exactly.  What is it you are looking for in particular?
