At one of our conferences I remember hearing about a program to collect hand sanitizer and kleenex for local elementary schools. I would love more details, such as whether you collected only from hospital employees or whether this was a community-wide drive. Also, in what ways were your volunteers involved in the collection & distribution?
The hospitals in our system distribute pencil bags to K-3 each year in five counties of NE MS. The bags include markers, pencils, toothbrushes, pencil sharpeners, erasers, etc. This is something that our hospital donates through our marketing department.
