Has anyone else changed their Auxiliary volunteer uniforms from Pink Jackets to another color? Some members of my Auxiliary are interested in making this change, while we have a few who are set against it. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue with success.

    Thanks!

Effective January 2, 2015 Conway Medical Center is going RED.  I have heard pro's and con's as far as comments go which is not unusual for any change.  We are transitioning from the multiple shades of pink, salmon and coral as well as burgundy....All volunteers throughout our organization will now wear RED. The color was selected based on our logo for the organization.  Slacks are navy, black, khaki or white.  A very professional appearance!!  Looking forward to 2015 and continued uniform purchases with Mark Ramseur of 1st Uniform and Jackie Miles of MacPro Industries.

We have successfully transitioned to a maroon polo shirt.  It started with the gentlemen driving our Courtesy Car and was so popular, particularly with the other men, that all volunteers are now offered the option to wear the polo.  Of course we have a few of the long-term members who choose not to relenquish the salmon smock (pockets seem to the the issue), but there are few of them and over time both peer pressure and retirement will accomplish the complete transition.

We changed our logo (including color) several years ago and our CEO wanted our "Pink Ladies" to change to the new color too.  Several were very  upset since they had been charter members of the Auxiliary and made a lot of noise about it.  He decided that if they were indeed a charter member (about 15 of them were) they could stay in pink.  All others and all new members going forward would wear the new green color.  The charter members were happy and were beginning to slow down some also.  We never had any more problems with the issue at all since the newer members wanted to be "uip to date" with our new logo.

When we moved to our new hospital in 2010 we transitioned all volunteers to a teal jacket or vest with white shirt or polo underneath and black, white or khaki pants.  It goes with the color scheme in our hospital.
