Our Women’s Hospital leadership is interested in discontinuing newborn photography.  They feel that the photographers are “bothering” the moms too much and they are trying to decrease interruptions for new moms.

Do you still offer this service?  Do you offer it room-to-room or do you have a photo studio that moms can come to?  Do photographers visit mom by appointment only?  Who is your contract with?

Any other info you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

We have been using MOM365 for years now.  The photographers go room to room and very much respect the wishes of the patient.  If they are asked to come back later they comply even if it means they stay late.  We also use a volunteer with the photographer to give a little extra assistance.  We are very pleased with  our program.

We also use Mom365, and have for a long time.  The photographers go room to room to ask mom if she wants the pictures.  I do sometimes get complaints that the photographers are "pushy" so I can see the point your staff members are making.  I've proposed dropping this service since so many people have digital cameras and/or cell phones that take good quality photos, but our Mom/Baby staff feel we need to continue to offer it.
