Can anyone suggest a meaningful & useful gift to present to our auxiliary members on the occasion of the organization's 50th Anniversary?  No mugs, coffee cups, paperweights or pens!

Go to sites that sell wedding favors and search for 50th. My favorite is www.favorfavor.com

We did really nice polo shirts for everyone -- paid and non-paid staff -- for our 50th. New volunteers who weren't here in 2010 are jealous!

My folks have always loved the practical.  If you don't have the budget for  polo shirts, try imprinted flash lights, car sun shields, boxed pens, umbrellas....  I have heard more than once how much more the practical is appreciated and always head in that direction now.

I did inexpensive photo frames and hired a photographer to do portraits of each volunteer and or group (like on a cruise ship).

Our Auxiliary did a 50th Anniversary pin for each active volunteer to wear on their uniform or namebadge lanyard.  We also did an ice cream bash for all employees on the last day of our week long celebration.

We gave our Auxiliary members a beautiful clock engraved with "AnMed Health Auxiliary 50 Years of Service 1958 - 2008"
