2025 Conference Keynote Speakers |
Brandon Jones, MSN, RN, CPXP, NEA-BC Compassion Changes Everything! |
Is compassion just a “nice to have” in healthcare, or is it absolutely fundamental, crucial, indispensable, and imperative to improve safety, quality, and outcomes? This talk discusses the evidence-based case for compassion in healthcare and the almost unbelievable impact has on both the communities we serve AND the caregivers giving compassion. Brandon envisions a world where hospitals serve as beacons of compassion and service for their communities—a place where patients receive safe, compassionate, quality care every moment, and where caregivers are respected, cared for, and even get a proper lunch break. As an enthusiastic #PinkSocks-wearing Patient Experience Warrior, Brandon's “official” role involves leading patient experience at a system-wide level, but his true passion lies in partnering with others to bring this vision to life. With 19 years of nursing and leadership experience, Brandon champions patient-centered care, offering inspiration, energy, and information to help caregivers focus on their purpose, ultimately reducing suffering for both patients and caregivers. In addition to his patient experience work, Brandon also serves as an adjunct clinical faculty member in a local nursing program and does work with his state’s Board of Nursing. Brandon and his wife Erin, a pediatric emergency RN, host a weekly podcast, Real Nurses, Real Talk. Together, they draw on their combined 38 years of experience to share unique perspectives and insights into the healthcare industry, aiming to heal, empower, and inspire. |
