Social Prescribing: How Your Call Could Change a Life

U.S. Surgeon General, Vivek Murthy, has called loneliness the epidemic of our time, yet very few effective interventions exist. This webinar discusses how a small, offsite virtual volunteer program was reconstructed at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic to address loneliness and social isolation. It will address what the research reveals as the impact loneliness has across populations. It will address how clinicians tend to view loneliness and why our current methods are not working. Finally, it will detail how you can design and implement an intervention - a virtual, social prescribing program - of your own.
